The event takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Riverside, California at 2601 Fairmount Blvd, Riverside, CA 92501. It features two separate course experiences and a finish line festival. Courses and event features
The event includes the following distances:

The 5K course includes educational signage that highlights shelter facts, stories, and initiatives. The 2.5K walk uses a separate dog-friendly route and recommends participants bring a personal dog or use an on-site day foster provided by Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.
After either course, the finish line festival features food trucks, vendors, live entertainment, K9 demonstrations, and animal adoption opportunities. There is an on-site Beer Garden for guests 21 and older, which includes shelter trivia and interactive activations. Registration opens January 16, 2026, and listed price information is available for each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
