Riverside County K9 Run & Walk

The Riverside County K9 Run and Walk With the Animals Experience is a community sports event held in Riverside, California. This event offers two distinct routes at Fairmount Blvd, specifically organized to accommodate different activity levels and dog participation.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 5 km (The Riverside K9 Run Experience)
  • 2.5 km (Mary S. Roberts Walk With Animals Experience)

The 5 km course is open to individuals with or without dogs. This longer route features educational signage along the path that highlights animal shelter facts and local initiatives. The 2.5 km course is a dog-friendly route designed for the safety of pets and walkers. Participants in this shorter walk may bring their own dog or participate with an on-site day foster dog provided by the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.

The event concludes with a festival at the finish line. This area includes food trucks, various vendors, live entertainment, and K9 demonstrations. There is also an on-site beer garden for guests aged 21 and over, featuring local and national draft beers along with mission-related trivia activities. A portion of the proceeds from the event facilitates food and medical care for community animals through the adoption center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
