The Ranch 50K - Daley Ranch, Escondido, CA
The Ranch 50K and Half Marathon take place at Daley Ranch with the Start/Finish at the Dixon Lake Picnic Area in Escondido, CA on February 13, 2027. The event offers two distances:
- 50K two loop course, total 31.1 miles.
- Half Marathon single loop, 13.1 miles.
The 50K uses a 25K loop run twice. Each loop has 3,159 feet (963 m) of climb, for a total of 6,318 feet (1,926 m) of elevation gain on the full 50K. The half marathon loop has 2,706 feet (825 m) of gain.
Three fully stocked aid stations are provided on course. On the 50K these are located at La Honda (5.4 mi and 21.25 mi), Cougar Pass (10.8 mi and 26.3 mi), and Dixon Lake at the Start/Finish (15.5 mi and 31.1 mi). Cutoff times for the 50K are 4.75 hours for the first loop and 9.5 hours for the second loop. The half marathon has aid stations at 4.75 mi, 9.5 mi, and 13.1 mi and a 9 hour cutoff.
Training runs begin and end at the Daley Ranch Gate near Dixon Lake Parking Lot, where parking is free, and include approximate routes of 8 miles, 13.1 miles, and 15.5 miles. GPX course files are made available for both distances. The event is a qualifying race in the SoCal Ultra Series.
Race packets are distributed the week before at Milestone Running North Park, with on event morning pickup allowed. No day of registration is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
