Event overview
The Ranch 50K and Half Marathon is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at Daley Ranch in Escondido, California. The Start/Finish for both distances is at the Dixon Lake Picnic Area. Registration opens September 1, 2025, and registration closes February 12, 2026. Packet pickup is expected the week before the race at Milestone Running (North Park); packets may also be picked up on race morning. The event is a qualified race in the SoCal Ultra Series. The permit for the event is held by the City of Escondido and may be revoked; if that occurs, organizers state options such as entry transfer, entry to the following year, or refund when funds are available.
Courses and support
- 50K - two laps of a 25K loop (31.1 miles), 6,318' total gain.
- Half Marathon - one 13.1 mile loop, 2,706' gain.
Both distances follow trails within Daley Ranch and use the Dixon Lake Picnic Area as the Start/Finish and as an aid station. There are three fully stocked aid stations on course. Aid station locations on the 50K (two visits each) include La Honda, Lilac Hill / Cougar Pass, and Dixon Lake. The half marathon visits the same aid stations once. The 50K has cut-off limits of 4.75 hours for the first loop and 9.5 hours for the full race. The half marathon has a 9 hour cut-off. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
