The Pub to Pub
The Pub to Pub is a community fun run in the Macedon Ranges that offers three course options along the car-free Federation Trail. The event includes a short children’s route, a mid-length run from Romsey to Lancefield, and a longer out-and-back that reaches Romsey and returns to Lancefield.
Distances:
- 1.5 km Junior Bolt - out-and-back from Lancefield Hotel, sealed surface, ages 3 to 12
- 7.5 km Pub to Pub - Romsey to Lancefield along the Federation Trail
- 15 km Pub to Pub to Pub - out-and-back on the Federation Trail via Romsey
The Federation Trail runs adjacent to the main road and features a hard-packed pea-gravel surface for most of the route. The longer course includes small rolling hills, a loop around Romsey Lions Park, and a steady climb leaving Romsey before a downhill return to Lancefield. The Junior Bolt follows a fully sealed, traffic-free section suited to young children; parents or guardians may run with children free of charge.
The event is fully timed using net time and timing chips fixed to race bibs. Two drink and aid stations are provided on course, including one at Boundary Road, with water, hydration mix, snacks, fruit, and minor first aid supplies. Other event logistics include a shuttle between Lancefield and Romsey for Pub to Pub participants, on-site parking in both towns, event photography, and first-aid services based at the event village in Lancefield.
Rules note that bikes and dogs are not permitted on the course, with assistance dogs excepted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
