The Pub to Pub
The Pub to Pub is a community run in the Macedon Ranges that uses the Federation Trail between Lancefield and Romsey. The event offers three separate course options and finishes at the Lancefield Hotel where a beer and a BBQ are available for participants.
Distances available:
- 1.5 km Junior Bolt starting at Lancefield Hotel on a sealed section of the Federation Trail.
- 7.5 km Pub to Pub starting at the 1860 Romsey Hotel and finishing in Lancefield.
- 15 km Pub to Pub to Pub starting and finishing at Lancefield Hotel on an out and back route.
The Federation Trail is a car free, rail trail style track adjacent to the main road with hard packed pea gravel underfoot. Courses include short rolling hills, a loop around Romsey Lions Park on the longer course, and sections of steady climb and downhill on the 15 km route. The Junior Bolt runs approximately 750 meters out then returns and is intended for children over 2 and under 12; parents may run with children free of charge.
The event is fully timed using timing chips fitted to bibs. There are two aid stations on course with water, hydration mixes, snacks and minor first aid supplies. Wave starts are used to space participants on the longer courses. Team entries require at least five members and are scored by summing the finishing positions of the best five runners. Event rules prohibit bikes and dogs except assistance animals. Coffee and food services will be available at the event village and in the pubs.
