The Pub to Pub
The Pub to Pub is a community run in the Macedon Ranges featuring three course options that use the Federation Trail, a car free rail trail with hard packed pea gravel underfoot.
Distances:
- 1.5 km Junior Bolt, short out and back for children
- 7.5 km Pub to Pub, Romsey to Lancefield route
- 15 km Pub to Pub to Pub, out and back along the trail
The 7.5 km and 15 km courses follow a rail trail adjacent to the main road between Lancefield and Romsey and include gentle rolling hills, a section that loops through Romsey Lions Park, and gradual descents and climbs on the return. The Junior Bolt runs approximately 750 metres each way along a sealed, traffic free path and is intended for young participants; parents and guardians may run with children free of charge.
The event is fully timed using a timing chip on each bib and results are recorded by net time. There are two drink stations on course including one at Boundary Road, offering water, hydration mix, snacks, fruit and minor first aid supplies. Wave starts are used for the non junior events to spread participants by expected pace, and a shuttle bus is provided between Lancefield and Romsey for those who need it.
The finish area is at the Lancefield Hotel where a beer and a BBQ are available and presentations and awards take place. Team entries are available with a minimum team size of five and team scoring is based on the combined finishing positions of the best five team members.
