The Pie & Pea 5km Event 2027
The Pie & Pea 5km Event 2027 is a midweek trail run organised by Muddy Roads and held at Trimdon Grange Community Centre, Salters Lane, Kielder Drive, Trimdon Grange, Co. Durham TS29 6PB on 7 April 2027. The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UK Athletics rules.
The route is a scenic trail through woodland paths and around a pond, with surfaces including gravel and grass and a few undulations. Runners receive a pie and peas at the finish; pie choices are tender steak or a vegetable/vegan option.
Minimum age to enter is 12. Prizes are given to the first, second and third male and female finishers. The organiser notes that places often sell out and deferrals are no longer offered, so entries are not transferable through the organiser once the event date has passed.
Entry fees are listed as Attached £12.00 and Unattached £14.00. The event is presented as a midweek community running occasion combining a short trail distance with a shared post-race meal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
