The Perfect Ten & Five Mile Road Race is scheduled for August 1, 2026, in Hamden, Connecticut, at the Railroad Canal Line parking area near the Quinnipiac York Hill Campus.
Distances
- 10 Mile out and back; net gain 150 ft; aid stations at 2.4, 5, 7.6
- 5 Mile out and back; net gain 60 ft; aid station at 2.6
Both courses run out and back on a rail-trail corridor with no turns and no vehicle traffic on the immediate course. The routes are generally flat and shaded. Cutoff windows are listed for each distance: a 2 hour 30 minute cutoff for the ten mile and a 2 hour cutoff for the five mile.
Amenities for entrants include men's and women's cut short sleeve tech shirts, Poland Spring water and Gatorade Endurance at aid stations and the finish, porta-lets at the venue, live text and email results, and free finish line photos. Custom 3-inch finisher medals are provided for ten mile finishers. Awards comprise custom coffee mug awards for top three overall men and women and top three in age groups 10-19 through 80+.
On race morning entrants pick up bibs from event staff; runners must know their bib number or use a self-lookup area. Parking is available at rail-trail lots and on-street where legal; parking is not permitted at the Dunkin Donuts / Amity Liquors lot.
