The Perfect Ten and Five Mile Road Race Shoreline Sharks 2027
The event is a road race held in Hamden, Connecticut at the Railroad Canal Line parking area along the Farmington Heritage Canal Trail near the Quinnipiac York Hill Campus. Two measured courses are offered on a rail trail setting that is described as flat and shaded with no turns and no vehicle traffic on the course.
Distances
- 10 Mile out and back; net gain 150' ; aid stations at 2.4, 5, 7.6 miles.
- 5 Mile out and back; net gain 60' ; aid station at mile 2.6.
Amenities include men's and women's short sleeve tech shirts for all entrants, custom 3" finisher medals for 10 mile finishers, Poland Spring water and Gatorade Endurance at aid stations and the finish, portable toilets, live text/email results, and free finish line photos and video.
Awards are custom coffee mugs presented to top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in age groups 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Race-morning procedures require runners to pick up bibs from event staff and to know their bib number; a self lookup area is available. Parking is available at rail trail lots and on-street where legal; one private lot is not for race parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
