The Ozark's Mountain Challenge is a noncompetitive hiking challenge held at Sam A. Baker State Park in Patterson, Missouri. Participants attempt to hike up Mudlick Mountain eight times within a 12-hour limit; the repeated ascents total approximately 23 miles and roughly 7,980' of elevation gain. Each ascent is about 2.8 miles with nearly 950' of vertical change.
The route follows the Mudlick Hike Only Trail to the Mudlick Equestrian and Hike Trail, then onto the spur to the Fire Tower Trail. The minimum age to participate is 16 years; minors must register with an adult. Pets are not permitted on the trail. No refunds are offered.
