The Original Las Vegas Marathon
The Original Las Vegas Marathon is a road running event held in Henderson, Nevada, with multiple race distances. The event offers the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The course runs along a bike path with scenic views and is described as mostly flat, with a few gentle rolling hills on the full marathon. The full marathon is an out and back course and is a certified Boston qualifier, Cert # NV24011MWC. The starting area is at M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd S, Henderson, NV 89044.
An early start option is available for full marathon participants who notify organizers in advance. Early starters should be self-sufficient for the first 30 minutes of the race because not all water stations are set up at the earliest times.
Water stations at the event do not use disposable cups. Runners use a foot pedal dispensing unit for hands-free water access at approximately 10 oz per second. Reusable cups are available for purchase at packet pickup or race day check-in for $3.
Awards are given for top 3 overall men and women in each race, top 3 in each age group for all distances, and top 3 teams across distances. Race services include packet pickup, custom finisher medals, a dry-fit event shirt, and a reusable goody bag.
