One to the Castle - Windsor: Trail Half Marathon
The event is a point to point trail half marathon following river towpath and trail sections between Marlow and Windsor. The course passes woodland paths and country trails and includes views of local landmarks in the Royal Berkshire area. The route is marked and marshalled.
Entries include a finisher medal, refreshments and chip timing. A bag drop service operates with baggage taken to the finish for collection. Water stations with cups are provided on the route and additional water is available in the event village for refilling bottles. Portable toilets are available in the event village; there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers.
Event services include on-site medical cover, a food caterer in the event village and event photography that is normally released after the event. A pre-race coach transfer is offered from Alexandra Gardens at Windsor (finish) to Marlow Rugby Club (start); coach tickets are available as an add-on at registration. Race pack collection takes place in the event village and participants should not expect postal delivery of race numbers. Registration on the day may be possible.
Spectators are permitted around the start, finish and route. Privately owned dogs, buggies, pushchairs and wheelchairs are not suitable on the course. Noise cancelling earphones are prohibited and other earphones should be used at low volume. Race deferrals are allowed prior to registration closing subject to an administration fee.
