Event Overview
The One in the Park - Regent's is a running event held on a Sunday morning in August. It takes place within London's Regent's Park, offering a traffic-free course.
Distances
The event features two accurately measured routes, both on tarmac pathways within the park:
- 10 km (two laps)
- 5 km (one lap)
The course is marshalled and marked with arrows and kilometre markers.
Event Village and Facilities
The event village is located at Cumberland Green, just inside Chester Gate, adjacent to The Broad Walk Cafe. Race number collection opens there in the Registration Tent.
A bag drop service is available using a tear-off strip from the race number. Public toilets are available on The Broad Walk for a small contactless fee, but there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. A water station is provided on the course, passed each lap.
Participation and Rules
Chip timing is used, and all finishers receive a medal and refreshments. The event is open to participants aged 15+ for the 10k and 11+ for the 5k. It is deemed suitable for wheelchair users and for participants with buggies, pushchairs, or strollers, though prior contact is recommended for those with specialised equipment. Participants with registered medical assistance dogs may be allowed with prior approval; other personally owned dogs are not permitted. The use of noise-cancelling headphones is prohibited.
