The One for the Planet - Dorney
The One for the Planet at Dorney Lake, Windsor is a multisport event held at the Dorney Lake Boathouse and launched in 2023. It uses a flat, smooth-surfaced, traffic-free course with marked and marshalled swim, bike and run routes. Participants complete a set number of laps according to their chosen distance.
The event includes an event village with shopping stalls, food and drink stands and a DJ. Spectators can watch from the water, the boathouse and the Olympic bridge. Race services listed for entries include chip timing, a finisher medal (sustainable wooden design), refreshments and on-course water stations for run routes. Portable toilets are available in the event village; there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers.
Entry information and race logistics are provided on the event day at the registration tent between the river and transition; entries may be available on the day. Race packs include a timing chip, bib and bike/helmet stickers; transition access requires the event number and bike sticker. Medical cover is provided. Bag drop is available for running events only and is not provided for multisport events.
The event plants a tree for each participant. Only participants who download the Climategames app and sync a wearable can link their activity to the event’s ocean-plastic removal and planet actions. British Triathlon membership or a Race Pass is required for those taking part under British Triathlon rules.
