The Ohio Parks 5 X 5 Challenge (25K: Dayton Area)

The event is a single-day running challenge based in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It consists of five separate 5K routes staged at five area locations: John Bryan State Park, Little Miami Scenic Trail near Yellow Springs Brewery, Carriage Hill MetroPark, Taylorsville MetroPark, and Eastwood MetroPark. The combined distance is 25K.

  • Five 5K races, total 25K

Routes use mixed terrain, including pavement, gravel, grass, trail and single track. Course markings will include color coded flags, cones and arrows; participants are expected to follow the markings and not rely solely on other runners for direction. There are no water stations along each route; aid station support is available at the start and finish areas.

Event rules require finishing each 5K within one hour. Participants who miss a cutoff or choose to skip a course will be removed from the official challenge; they may continue on other courses but official race support ends if they deviate from the regulations. Registration includes entry to all five 5K races, a race bib and a finishers medal, and products from event sponsors along with on course aid station support and product discounts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
