The OBX Gobbler 5K & Fun Run
The OBX Gobbler 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Nags Head, North Carolina. The event is organized around the Outer Banks Mall area at 5000 S. Croatan Highway.
The event offers two running options:
- 3.1 Miles 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Clock timing is used for results; there is no chip timing. The 5K participants receive a race themed shirt and a finisher medal. Fun Run participants receive a finisher medal. Giveaways must be picked up in person and will not be mailed. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed if registration is not completed by November 6, 2026; extra shirts will be ordered but specific sizes may run out.
Packet pick-up is available the evening before the event on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, with a time window provided. Race day packet pick-up is available on-site near HomeGoods, just north of the Food Lion; bibs will be handed out on race morning and shirts will be available for pickup after the run.
Parking is centered at Outer Banks Mall, 5000 S. Croatan Highway; parking is not allowed at the Food Lion or the Outback Steakhouse. Post-race hospitality includes light snacks and beverages for registered participants only and no alcohol is permitted. The event is a fundraiser; there are no refunds or transfers, and the race may be delayed or cancelled for unsafe weather conditions such as lightning.
