Trail Running at Oakes Quarry Park
The Oakes Quarry Trail Challenge takes place in Fairborn, Ohio. The event utilizes the natural landscape of Oakes Quarry Park, located at 1267 E Xenia Dr. Participants run through a variety of environments including wooded trails and areas featuring limestone cliffs. The course is designed to offer views of the quarry and features rugged terrain throughout.
Available distances include:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 15k (9.3 miles)
The event is held during the spring season. All participants who complete their chosen distance receive a finisher medal. Special awards are provided for the overall winners in each of the three race distances. Registration fee structures vary by distance, and participants who register by June 1st receive a short-sleeve event shirt. Registration remains open until the morning of the event, though shirts are not included for those who register after the June 1st deadline.
