The NOTFAST Ponton Plod 2026
The Notfast Ponton Plod is a scenic charity trail event based in the village of Great Ponton, near Grantham. The 2026 edition marks the 40th anniversary of the NOTFAST RC and takes participants through picturesque Lincolnshire villages. The routes utilize a combination of public footpaths, bridleways, tracks, and quiet country roads, leading toward the Vale of Belvoir.
Participants can choose from four different distances to complete:
- 26.4 miles
- 17 miles
- 12 miles
- 10 km
The event is held at the Great Ponton Village Centre on Archers Way. All routes are covered by OS Explorer Map 247. There is a maximum time limit of 10 hours to complete any of the selected distances. Ample field parking is provided for participants in close proximity to the starting area.
The entry includes access to various refreshments at designated checkpoints along the course. Upon finishing the event, participants are provided with food and pudding at the village centre. The event relies on the assistance of marshals positioned throughout the routes. As this is a charity initiative, proceeds from the event support specific causes that are confirmed annually by the organizers.
