About the race
The Hoby Hop Trail Race is a 5-mile chip-timed cross-country and canicross event set in the Upper Wreake valley around Hoby, Leicestershire. The undulating course winds across fields, stiles, and brooks along traditional footpaths, with occasional hills and expansive views. Race HQ is at Hoby & District Village Hall, offering bag drop, toilets, number collection, and on-the-day entries if space remains.
Two 5-mile races—the Canicross and the Trail race—are run, each priced at £10. Prizes span multiple categories, with course-record prizes, and profits benefit local charities and community projects.
