The Night Thing 2026
The Night Thing 2026 is a trail race organized by Race Huron along the Maitland Trail, starting at the Auburn Riverside Retreat in Auburn, Ontario. The event offers two distance options.

Registration opens May 1, 2026 at midnight. Registration fees shown are CA$65 for the listed options. Registrations made after September 22 are not guaranteed a t-shirt due to limited quantities.
The race takes place in darkness, so participants are expected to bring a headlamp. Participants should arrive about 30 minutes before their race start time to check in and receive their shirt.
The event fees are non refundable and non transferable. If the event is cancelled due to weather and not rescheduled for the same year, fees less the online registration fees will be applied to the next year’s race. Proceeds go to the local community and/or charitable organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
