About the race
The Murder Mile Halloween Horror is a night trail event near Franklin, TN held on October 31, 2026. The program includes a haunted half event and a shorter series called Sinister Six built around a roughly 1.1 mile loop. The loop is on private land about 20 minutes from downtown Franklin and follows an old logging road with wide double track. Each loop has about 340 feet of elevation gain and includes two climbs with steep, straight grades, runnable sections between them, and an easy downhill through a field to the start and finish area.
The course will be decorated with spooky sounds and lights, and trick-or-treat stations are placed on each lap. At those stations participants choose either a Treat or a Trick; treats include candy while tricks require performing a task drawn from a Bag of Tricks and must be completed that lap. Costumes are encouraged and may be required. Organizers will track laps using a clothes-pin system.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in male and female categories. Entry fees were listed in the range of USD 36.66 to 66.66. In case of dangerous weather the event may be moved to the prior night.
No refunds or deferrals will be issued. Participants are asked not to bring dogs without advance coordination due to working farm animals on and near the property. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
