About the race
The NoahBRAVE 5K is an annual fundraising run held each September by the NoahBRAVE Foundation to honor a child whose brain tumor diagnosis occurred in September and to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The event began as a virtual 5K in September 2020 and became the foundation's first official fundraiser in September 2021. It remains the foundation's largest annual fundraiser. Funds raised through the event support families affected by terminal pediatric brain cancer.
Typical support areas include rent and mortgage, food and groceries, utilities, car expenses, travel for clinical trials and treatment, loss of wages, house cleaning, and funerals and bereavement support. In 2025 the NoahBRAVE Foundation provided financial support to 134 families battling terminal brain cancer. The 5K is offered with both in-person and virtual participation options. The in-person location is in Franklin, TN at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at Franklin High School.
A virtual option is available during the month of September, allowing participants to take part from any location. The event traces its origins to community fundraising during the Covid period and continued as an annual effort to raise awareness, assist families, and fund research related to terminal pediatric brain tumors.
