Montane Lakeland 50 & 100
The Montane Lakeland 50 & 100 take place over the weekend of 24 to 26 July 2026 and are based in Coniston, Cumbria. Both events use largely public footpaths and bridleways and finish in Coniston. The listed venue is John Ruskin School in Coniston.
Two race distances are offered:
- Lakeland 100: 100 miles, about 6300 m ascent, circular route from Coniston.
- Lakeland 50: 50 miles, about 3100 m ascent, starts at Dalemain Estate and finishes in Coniston.
The 100 mile route is a complete clockwise circuit of the Lakeland fells and passes through Dunnerdale fells, Eskdale, Wasdale, Buttermere, Keswick, Matterdale, Haweswater, Kentmere, Ambleside and Elterwater before returning to Coniston. The 50 mile event starts at Dalemain Estate north of Pooley Bridge and joins the circuit to finish at Coniston.
Entries opened on 8 September 2025 and closed on 19 July 2026. Entry fees were listed as £190 for the Lakeland 100 and £160 for the Lakeland 50. The minimum age for entry is 18. The event was full at the time the information was published. Participants were offered the option to purchase XCover and there are published terms and a cancellation refund policy.
