The Mile : Terre Haute
The Mile, presented by Pacesetter Sports, is an annual one-mile event held on July 4 at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Indiana. The event includes running and walking options and a children’s entry associated with the Lace It Up! Kids Running Program.

- 1 mile, Lace It Up! Kids Running Program
- 1 mile, Walk Only
The course begins one mile north of the stadium on Brown Boulevard and finishes on the stadium grounds. Proceeds support the Lace It Up Kids Running Program of the Wabash Valley Road Runners. Registration fees listed for the event include a fee for run and walk entries and free registration for participants in the Lace It Up! program; shirts are not included with the free kids registration but a shirt add-on is available.
Awards are presented for overall finishers, age-group winners, and walkers; age groups are organized in five-year increments. Participants registered as walkers are expected to walk the course to preserve fairness for competitive walkers. The event acknowledges multiple community sponsors and local partners.
