The Mersea Mix Trail : Waldegraves Holiday Park
The Mersea Mix Trail is a seven mile trail race organised by Essex Trail Events on 01 Mar 2026 at Waldegraves Holiday Park, West Mersea, Colchester CO5 8SE. The event has a minimum age of 17 and is held under UK Athletics Rules; dogs are not permitted. A TRA permit has been applied for.
This is a self-navigation trail using a written route description issued on the day. There are no course markings, marshals, or GPX files provided. The event is not a mass start; participants use individual start slots. Race headquarters will be located in the car park.
Entry is limited to 150 participants. Entry fees are £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a booking fee. Each entry includes a £4 voucher redeemable at the bar on the day. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Results will be posted on essextrailevents.com.
There is ample parking at the venue; participants are asked to park considerately. To enable friends to run together, it is possible to enter on behalf of others, but the organiser requires each entered runner's emergency contact, mobile phone number to be carried on the day, email address and confirmation of agreement to the same terms and conditions before the closing date. There are no refunds except if the race is cancelled.
