The Mctaggart Trot

The McTaggart Trot 2025 is a team-based fun run returning to Eppleby Village Hall, DL11 7AT, after last year's successful edition. Entrants choose from three distances—3.1, 6.2 or 9.3 miles—and form squads of three. Teams start together and run at the pace of the slowest member, stopping at 3.1 and 6.2 miles so the trio can regroup before finishing the final leg to 9.3 miles.

The 3.1-mile loop course is undulating on road and pavement. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas outfits, and proceeds support St Teresa's Hospice. The event is capped at 350 entrants, with a £12 entry fee per distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
