The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Trail 2026
The event is a night trail running race held at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. The course is set within the Stonor Park estate in the Chiltern Hills, with the start and finish based at the estate. The organiser is Maverick Race. The event takes place in November 2026 and is run in the dark, so participants are expected to use a headtorch or chest torch.
Routes and distances
There are three waymarked routes on estate trails:
- Long: 17 km
- Middle: 12-13 km
- Short: 7 km
There is no outpost on the Short route. The Middle and Long routes each have one outpost, located at around 7 km, offering snacks, gels and electrolyte.
Facilities and rules
Toilets are available only in the start/finish area; there are no toilets along the route. The event aims to be plastic free; participants should carry a reusable cup or bottle for water from self-serve barrels. Headphones and dogs are not permitted. The event is fully marked and fully timed, with online results, event photography, bag drop, free parking and a metal finishers medal.
