The Maverick Dark Hampshire Gravel - Alice Holt Forest
The event is a night gravel trail run held in Alice Holt Forest on Saturday 31 October 2026. The course is based on 5 km laps through ancient, tree-lined woodland within the South Downs National Park. Runners follow head torch light on wide tracks and tree avenues.
Three route options are available:
- 15 km - 3 laps, elevation gain +194 m
- 10 km - 2 laps, elevation gain +133 m
- 5 km - 1 lap, elevation gain +69 m
There is one outpost on each lap offering sweet and savoury snacks and Precision Hydration fuel and electrolyte. The outposts are intended as a top up; participants are asked to bring a cup or bottle as the outposts aim to be cup free. Headphones are not permitted.
On-site provisions include free parking, fully marked and timed courses, online results, event photography, food and drink, a bag drop area and a metal finisher medal. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Dogs are not permitted at this event.
Travel notes: the venue is about 4 miles from Farnham and approximately 2 miles from Bentley train station. The station has direct trains from London and is a short drive, cycle or walk from the forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
