The Maverick Dark Hampshire Gravel 2026
The Maverick Dark Hampshire Gravel takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 at Alice Holt Forest near Farnham. The course is made of 5 km laps; participants may complete one, two or three laps for distances of 5 km, 10 km or 15 km.
Alice Holt is an ancient woodland that forms part of the South Downs National Park and straddles the Hampshire and Surrey county boundary. The route follows wide tracks and tree-lined avenues, run by head torch, with one outpost on each lap supplying sweet and savoury snacks plus Precision Hydration fuel and electrolyte.
The event offers a fully marked course, full timing and online results, event photography, bag drop, free parking and a metal finishers medal. The organiser asks participants to bring a head torch or chest torch, phone, trail shoes, rain coat, foil blanket and a water bottle or running pack. Headphones are not permitted.
Organisers aim to keep outposts cup-free; participants should bring a cup or bottle to refill. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Online entry closes Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 11:00am; on-day entries may be available if the event is not sold out. All entries are subject to a booking fee.
