The Marathon Day York Social Run 2026
The Marathon Day York Social Run takes place on 26 February 2026 at Hamilton Panther's Clubhouse, Knavesmire Road, York YO23 1EW. The event is a six hour timed challenge run held on a 5 km loop entirely on paths. Runners complete laps clockwise and anticlockwise on alternate circuits to encourage a sociable atmosphere. Organisers indicate the route is not expected to be muddy.
The clubhouse provides refreshments, cake and food. There is a well stocked aid station on the route, and toilets and showers at the venue. Race numbers are collected at registration on the day. The event is officially timed and results will be published. A completed marathon distance will count toward 100 marathons for those tracking that goal, and miles count toward the SYRY 100 mile club. Every participant receives a special memento.
Maximum entries are 73 and the event is currently full. Entries close on 19 February 2026. Transfers and deferrals are permitted online up to seven days before the event but no refunds are available.
