The Manchester Winter Warmer Run
The event offers three distances around Heaton Park: a 5 km, 10 km and half marathon. The course is undulating and mainly on paths with one section on trail. The 5 km is one lap, the 10 km is two laps, and the half marathon is four laps plus an extra 1.1 km section.
Included services and on-course support comprise full chip-on-bib timing, marked and marshalled routes, water stations, medical cover, finish line water and sweets, and trophies for winners. All finishers receive a medal and the event provides additional items such as penguin bars and partner benefits.
The route is suitable for buggies and is wheelchair friendly, noting the single trail section may affect accessibility. Bag storage and toilets are available at the event hub in the Bowl area of Heaton Park; space for bag storage is limited. Coffee and snacks will be available for sale at the hub.
The event supports the charity Shelter; fundraising is optional with no minimum target. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2027. Parking is available onsite but limited, and multiple park entrances are listed for navigation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
