Bridges Academy The Mama Bear Run 5K
Bridges Academy The Mama Bear Run 5K is scheduled for May 8, 2027 in West Islip, New York. The event takes place at The Bridges Academy, 339 Snedecor Avenue, and is held rain or shine. Proceeds from the race benefit the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.
The event offers a community 5K run/walk and a free kids fun run. Race amenities include a course through residential streets and along the Keith Canal, on-course refreshments, same-day finish line photos, and post-race raffle items and giveaways. Awards are presented to the top mother finisher and the top three male and female overall finishers.
Registration features options such as personalized bibs when registered three weeks in advance and the ability for last-minute registrants to receive a bib number by text. Participants are informed that all race fees are non refundable and that registering by April 19 guarantees a shirt while sizes are not guaranteed. Teams may be created or joined, and donations are accepted as an additional support option.
