The Mama Bear Run 5K
The Mama Bear Run 5K is an in person community running event held on May 8, 2027 at The Bridges Academy, 339 Snedecor Avenue, West Islip, NY 11795. The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine and includes a main 5K run and a separate free kids fun run.

Registration information notes a base entry option for the 5K listed at $20 and examples of total fees that include processing. Registrants who sign up by April 19 are guaranteed a shirt. Participants may register with options such as donations and may form or join teams. Registering three weeks in advance enables a personalized bib; last minute registrants can receive a bib number by text.
Amenities along the course include a residential route that passes the Keith Canal, on course refreshments, finish line photography, and same day finish line video. Post race activity includes raffles and giveaways. Awards are listed for the top mother finisher and the top three overall men and women. Proceeds from the event are designated to benefit the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.
