The Magnificent 7
The Magnificent 7 (Mag7) on Sunday 4 July 2027 is a seven mile road run through the country lanes surrounding Saltash in Cornwall. The event starts and finishes at Saltash Rugby Club, Moorlands Lane, Saltash, PL12 4HJ.
The race is held under the rules of UK Athletics and forms part of the Cornish Grand Prix Series. The course is hilly, described as accurate and well marshalled, and it passes locations with views over the Tamar and Lynher estuaries. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry is restricted to those aged 16 and over and the field is limited to 500 competitors. All finishers receive a large, uniquely designed medal. Recorded course best times are 36:51 for the male record and 41:55 for the female record.
Available facilities include showers, toilets and changing areas, secure baggage stowage, licensed bar and refreshments, water stations on the course and at the finish, medical cover, and pre-event and post-event massage. Ample parking is available approximately a five minute walk from the start; parking is not available at Saltash Rugby Club. The event is supported by Beaver Teeth Services, an independent family run tool, plant and forestry equipment hire company based in Plymouth and Saltash.
