The Lucky Run - Pitman
The Lucky Run is the 15th annual Irish holiday themed running event in downtown Pitman, New Jersey, centered at Ballard Park and nearby streets. The event supports the HEADstrong Foundation and includes running, a kids race, and a community walk with after-party activities at two local venues.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kids Run
- 1 Mile Walk
The 5K and the 1 Mile Kids Run are chip-timed with instant results; the 1 Mile Walk is not timed. The 5K uses a paved neighborhood course through historic Pitman. Awards are given to top overall finishers and age group winners for the 5K; the Kids Run also has top overall awards for the specified youth age groups.
Registered participants receive a Lucky Run short sleeve shirt in women’s, men’s/unisex, or youth sizes; a long sleeve upgrade is available for $6. The Kids Run includes a finisher medal. Drink tickets for participating adults are valid at Merryman’s Pub or Bonesaw Brewery. After-party activities at both locations include live Irish music, a DJ, raffles, and on-site food options.
Additional notes: walkers must be registered to be on course, a one hour time limit is requested for the 5K, race photos are available for download, race day packet pick-up is at Ballard Park, the event runs rain or shine, and there are no refunds or deferrals.
