The Lucky Run : Pitman, NJ (March 15, 2026)
The Lucky Run is an Irish-themed community race held at Ballard Park in Pitman, New Jersey on March 15, 2026. The event is limited to 500 participants and names the HEADstrong Foundation as its charity partner. It is the 14th annual running of the race.
Three event options are offered:
- 5K Run/Walk (chip-timed with instant results)
- 1 Mile Kids Run (age 14 and under, chip-timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (untimed)
The 5K follows a paved neighborhood course through historic Pitman. Awards are given to the top three overall and to age group winners for male and female categories. Walkers are welcome on the 5K course and a one hour time limit is kindly requested for safety.
Race entry includes a Lucky Run shirt in adult and youth sizes, and a custom finisher medal for participants. A drink ticket for attendees aged 21 and over is included for redemption at Merryman's Pub or Bonesaw Brewery with valid ID.
Activities around the race include post-race after-parties at Merryman's Pub and Bonesaw Brewery, a DJ at the pub, a live Irish band at the brewery, a best dressed competition, raffles and door prizes, Irish food options, a food truck, and free downloadable photos from an Irish professional photographer. The event is held rain or shine and offers no refunds or deferrals. Packet pick-up takes place on race day at Good Day for a Run tents. Volunteers receive a drink ticket and a free future race entry.
