About the race
The Lucky Pumpkin 5K is a charity run and virtual event held at Lake Callis, 1152 N. Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423. Proceeds benefit Ireland's Dream, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports children and families living with cerebral palsy and is building a therapy center to provide care not always covered by insurance.
The event includes these options:
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- Virtual Run/Walk - run or walk at a location and time chosen by the participant
Registration fees are tiered for the in-person event and there is a separate virtual registration fee that includes mailed items. Bibs are non-transferable. Family pricing is available when three or more people register together, reducing the per-person fee.
All in-person finishers receive a medal. Age-group medals are awarded for separate male and female divisions across standard age categories, including 9 and under through 70+. The first 20 runners through the finish line receive a pumpkin; one pumpkin contains the lucky prize and the winner must be present to receive it. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and live results will be available during the event.
Ainsley’s Angels will participate by providing pushers for special needs athletes; those arrangements require separate registration with Ainsley’s Angels.
