The Longest Day 10K
The Longest Day 10K is a community running event held on June 20, 2026. The event includes an individual 10 kilometer race and an open relay division. The race uses a course of two loops around Dakota Nature Park.
Registration is available online for a fee of $25 per individual or per team through June 18 at midnight. Day of registration is available for $30 per individual or per team. All participants must sign a waiver prior to participation.
Shirts are optional and offered for $5 on race day on a first come first served basis. Water may be offered at the course midpoint depending on weather conditions, and participants should be prepared for hot and humid weather.
The event location is Fishback Soccer Complex at the intersection of Medary Avenue and 20th Street South in Brookings, South Dakota. Awards are given to first, second and third place finishers in male and female divisions. All proceeds from the event benefit the Brookings High School and South Dakota State University cross country programs.
