The Lion Chase: Winery to Pub
The Lion Chase is a community fun run in Great Western, organised by the Great Western Football Netball Club Lions. The run starts at Best's Wines Great Western and finishes at the Great Western Hotel in Great Western, VIC.
Course options cover a range of distances:
- 2.5 km to 13 km (three course options)
The event raises funds for a community junior sport initiative. The program supports juniors who play both netball and football by providing free training night dinners, free registrations, free yearly memberships and opportunities such as training sessions with professionals. The aim is to help young participants continue their learning and playing journey in Great Western.
Additional practical details note that the event is held in person and offers free parking. The organiser states that no refunds will be given.
