About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Stawell is a community walk and run held at North Park with the event village and registration located at the clubrooms. Registrations for this event have closed.
Distances offered include:
- 7 km run along local streets and shared paths
- 4 km run on the same route options
- 400 m limited mobility walk
The course begins with a lap of the oval at North Park, continues through local streets and the Iron Bark forest, and returns to finish at the oval. The route uses a mix of quiet roads and shared paths and is suitable for walkers, runners, prams, and wheelchairs.
Facilities at the venue include parking on Lamont Street and Newington Road with limited parking inside North Park, accessible parking and toilets, clubhouse toilets, a coffee van, and refill stations for water. Participants are asked to bring their own water. Dogs are permitted in all areas, including the course, but must be on leash. The event is organised as a fun run and walk with no official run timing on the day. Pram and wheelchair access is provided along the route.
