The Lighthouse Marathon and Ultra

The Lighthouse Marathon and Ultra is a challenging running event held in Cornwall, starting at Pendeen and finishing near Godrevy lighthouse. The marathon covers 26 miles along a demanding coastal path featuring mud, water, rocks, sand, tarmac, big climbs, and dunes, with over 4,000 feet of elevation gain. The Ultra adds an extra 10 miles from Lands End, including Longships Lighthouse, totaling 36 miles and an additional 1,800 feet of climbing.

Participants face tough weather conditions, including rain and darkness, with a unique challenge to finish before the lighthouse lights go out.
