Event overview

The Last Snout Standing on December 31, 2025, is a trail event and fundraiser at 2392 Possum Trot Rd, Grandview, TN. Proceeds support Flying Pigs Sanctuary. The event listing includes two offerings: The Last Snout Standing and the Swine and Dine Run/Walk in the Woods. Tent camping is free; Lemon Lane Farm glamping sites are available through a silent auction.

Race format and rules

The main event uses a repeated-loop elimination format. Runners must complete two designated loops of about 3 miles within each hour to remain in the event. A new loop begins each hour and participants must return to the start line before the hour begins to continue. The time between finishing a loop and the next hour is the only rest period and varies with each runner’s speed. Missing the start of the next hourly loop results in elimination.

Additional activities and notes

The event includes an aid area with a bonfire, live music, champagne toasts, and food. The Swine and Dine option is a non-competitive trail session that allows participants to spend up to six hours on the trails to support the sanctuary. The organizer notes possible muddy, hilly trail conditions and mentions surprise animal guests at the site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
