Event Overview

The Lakeside Ten Mile 5K Fun Run is a community race in the Ten Mile/Watts Bar Lake area. All proceeds from the event benefit the Meigs County Volunteer Fire Department.

Course & Location

The event is a 5K run (3.1 miles). The course begins in the Ten Mile town area and goes to Euchee Marina. The route is on pavement, with the last few feet on light gravel. It features gentle hills and views of the lake.

Participant Information

The event welcomes runners and walkers. Baby joggers and leashed, well-behaved dogs are allowed to start after the other racers, though participants with dogs must provide their own leash and ensure their dog is friendly. Professional timing is provided by the Knoxville Track Club, with chip timing for runners. Age categories for awards include eight ranges for male and female participants.

Logistics & Amenities

Participants can park at the Lakeside Baptist Church or at Euchee Marina. A shuttle service provides transportation from the finish at Euchee Marina back to the start area until 11:30 AM. Post-race refreshments include doughnuts, bananas, Gatorade, and water. T-shirts are provided for all runners, with size guaranteed for those who register by a specified date.
