Event overview
The Last Best Beer Run and 5k takes place in Billings, MT, at Dehler Park on May 16, 2026. The event includes four entry types: a 5k Run (no beer during the race), an Elite Beer Run, a Beer Run, and an After Party Ticket. Course, waves and facilities
The Beer Run uses the same course as the 5k. Beer Run participants encounter multiple beer stations early in the course and are served 4-ounce pours; water is available at each beer station and bathrooms are available near the halfway point. Downtown sections of the course use sidewalks because state routes cannot be fully closed. Race staff and officers will be positioned at busy intersections and volunteers will direct traffic. Cones mark the bike lane on parts of the course.
After party and extras
The finish area and after party are at Dehler Park and are described as a beer-fest style after party; race entries include an after party ticket for runners. The event lists a costume contest with a cartoons and video games theme, hidden-item prizes on course and at the after party, and a food truck from Michelle's Pantry.
