The Last Best Beer Run and 5k - Billings, MT
The event on May 16, 2026 takes place at Dehler Park in Billings and features multiple entries: a 5k run with no beer, an Elite Beer Run, a Beer Run, and an after party ticket. The no-beer 5k is limited to 300 participants; the Beer Run entries are limited to 500.
The Beer Run uses the same course as the 5k and is run in multiple waves. Participants in the Beer Run consume between eight and ten 4-ounce pours served at stations along the route. Water is available at each beer station and restrooms are located near the halfway point. Organizers assign bib numbers to place runners into specific waves; bibs 1–100 are reserved for the no-beer 5k and other number ranges correspond to successive beer-run waves.
Additional features include a Cartoons and Video Games themed costume contest, themed items hidden on course and at the after party with prizes for returned items, and food trucks including Michelle's Pantry. T-shirt orders require sizes by April 30 with shirts ordered on May 1; extra shirts may be available but preferred sizes are not guaranteed after the deadline. The event notes a no-refund policy. Course safety measures include use of sidewalks through downtown, officers and volunteers at busy intersections, and marked bike-lane cones on sections of open road.
