The Last Best Beer Run and 5k
The Last Best Beer Run and 5k is held at Dehler Park in Billings, Montana on May 16, 2026. The event includes a no-beer 5k and multiple beer-focused runs on the same general course, followed by a beer garden style after party with live music and food trucks.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles 5k Run (no beer during the race)
- 2.5 Miles Beer Run and Elite Beer Run
The 5k is described as a flat course and does not include beer during the race; entry to the post-race beer garden is included for participants who are 21 or older. The Beer Run features beer stations along the course with about eight 4-ounce pours distributed before the two-mile mark, plus water at each station and bathrooms near the halfway point. The Elite Beer Run specifies performance standards for eligibility and the same beer station format.
Participants must wear their wristband from packet pickup until after the event. Packet pickup determines wave assignment and once a wave is full there are no exceptions. The event limits entries for the no-beer 5k and the beer run. There are hidden themed items on course and at the after party that can be turned in for a prize, and a cartoons and video games themed costume contest. The event policy states no refunds.
