The King's Mile : Canterbury city mile race
The King's Mile is a one mile event held in the centre of Canterbury. The route starts at Green Court at The King's School on the north side of the cathedral precincts, passes the Marlowe Theatre and city centre via the King's Mile, and finishes inside Canterbury Cathedral grounds with the cathedral as a backdrop.
The event runs three main waves: an elite wave, a mass running mile and a mass participation mile. The participation wave includes an option to walk a mile with family and friends. Each entrant must hold a valid entry. Chip timing is used and results are published live through the organiser's results feed.
Facilities at the venue include toilets and on-site refreshments; there are no changing facilities at this location. Car parks are available nearby and are payable locally. The event supports local charities; two charity partners will be announced by the organiser.
