Event overview
The Kingdom of Northumbria Coastal Ultra is an ultra trail event held on Sunday 8 March 2026. The route follows the Northumberland coastline, passing landmarks such as Beadnell Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village, and Warkworth Castle. The course starts near Bamburgh Castle and finishes at Druridge Bay Country Park.

Logistics and services
Start locations are the Links Road car park in Bamburgh (54 km) and Boulmer Lifeboat Station (27 km); the finish is at Druridge Bay Country Park. This is an A-B event, so runners must book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange their own transport. Bag drop is available at registration and there are no buses after the event.
Feed stations are located at Low Newton, Boulmer, and Warkworth Beach. Runners must carry a backpack with water or fluids, a charged mobile phone with emergency contacts, food or gels, a headtorch for late finishes, and a lightweight jacket. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive a medal, a long-sleeve t-shirt, and snacks and drinks. Car parking at Druridge Bay Country Park is payable by competitors.
