Event overview
The Kingdom of Northumbria Coastal Ultra is an ultra trail event on Sunday 8 March 2026. The route runs along the Northumberland coast, starting near Bamburgh Castle and finishing at Druridge Bay Country Park. The course passes Beadnell Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village, and Warkworth Castle. A new 27 km option runs from Boulmer to Druridge Bay alongside the existing 54 km distance.
Logistics and race details
The event is an A-B format, so runners must book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange their own transport; bag drop is available at registration and there are no buses after the event. Well-stocked feed stations are located at Low Newton, Boulmer, and Warkworth Beach. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, a long-sleeve t-shirt, and snacks and drinks. Car parking at Druridge Bay Country Park is payable by competitors. Registration opens 10 March 2025 and closes 3 March 2026.
