THE KINGDOM OF NORTHUMBRIA COASTAL ULTRA 2027
The Kingdom of Northumbria Coastal Ultra is an A-B ultra trail event on 14 March 2027 that follows the Northumberland coastline from near Bamburgh Castle to Druridge Bay Country Park. The route passes Beadnell Harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster Village and Warkworth Castle. Routes for both distances are available to view and download.
Early Bird entries are full; Stage 2 pricing is available for the next 100 entries. Entry prices listed include two options for the different distances.
Event logistics include a shuttle bus from the finish to the start booked before the event, a bag drop at registration with transported bags to the finish, and payable car parking at Druridge Bay Country Park. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Well stocked feed stations are positioned at Low Newton, Boulmer and Warkworth Beach for the longer route, with Warkworth Beach also serving the shorter route.
Runners must carry a backpack containing water or fluids, a charged mobile phone with emergency contacts, food or gels, a headtorch if finishing after 4:30pm, and a lightweight jacket. There is a strict event cut off at 18:00 and participants must reach the final feed station by 16:30 to continue for safety reasons.
All finishers receive an event medal, an exclusive T-shirt and snacks and drinks at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
