Event overview
The Enchanted Ultra is a 50km trail race held on 19 September 2026 in Wooler, Northumberland. The event is organised by Northern Fell Running and Cheviot TRAIL Events and is based at Wooler Auction Mart. The minimum age for entry is 18. Entries open on 17 October 2025 and close on 31 August 2026. The entry fee is listed as £60, rising to £70 from 1 January 2026.
Course and support
The route moves through the Cheviot Hills and uses a digital route that participants must follow with a GPS device. The course starts at The Mart in Wooler, passes Humbleton Hill and the St Cuthbert's Way, goes by the hillfort of Yeavering Bell, and reaches checkpoint 1 at Hethpool (about 10 miles). It continues via College Valley and Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, ascends Cheviot, and descends via Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles), before returning to Wooler via Coldlaw and Snear Hill.
The entry package includes a digital route map and a waterproof map, a GPS tracker, marshals, medical cover, two aid stations, soup and sandwiches at the finish, a finisher's medal, and a certificate.
