Event overview
The Enchanted Ultra 50K is a trail ultramarathon of 50 km held on 19 September 2026 in Wooler, United Kingdom. The event is organised by Northern Fell Running Events Ltd and hosted with Cheviot TRAIL Events. The minimum age to enter is 18. Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026. Early entry fee is £60; the fee increases to £70 from 1 January 2026. The number of participants is limited.
The race uses a digital route and requires navigation with a GPS device. Participants are given an overall time limit of 11 hours to complete the course. Entries are managed through the SiEntries system and entrants must register or log in there before entering.
Route and services
The route starts at The Mart in Wooler and passes through the Cheviot hills, including Humbleton Hill, St Cuthbert's Way, and the ancient hillfort of Yeavering Bell. Checkpoint 1 is at Hethpool (about 10 miles). The course follows College Valley to Mounthooley, passes close to Hen Hole, climbs Cheviot, then descends via the Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles), and returns to Wooler via Coldlaw, Snear Hill and nearby terrain.
Entry fees include a digital route map and a waterproof map, a GPS tracker, two fully stocked aid stations (including cola), marshals around the course and medical cover. Finish provisions include soup, sandwiches, a finisher’s medal and a certificate. Photography and filming may be used for promotional purposes. Dogs are not permitted.
