Event overview
The Enchanted Ultra 50K is a trail ultra run held on Saturday 19 September 2026, based at Wooler Auction Mart in Wooler, Northumberland. The advertised race distance is 50 km. The event is organised by Northern Fell Running and Cheviot TRAIL Events and is listed on the SiEntries entry system. Entries open 17 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026. The minimum age is 18. Entry fees are £60.00 and rise to £70.00 from 01/01/2026. Participants may be filmed or photographed, and dogs are not permitted.
Route, support and practical information
The route runs through the Cheviot Hills and is described as varied terrain, including rolling hills, steep ascents and descents, grassy trails, rocky paths, dense woodlands and open moorlands. Key route points include Humbleton Hill, St Cuthbert’s Way, Yeavering Bell, checkpoint 1 at Hethpool (about 10 miles), College Valley to Mounthooley, a climb up Cheviot passing close to Hen Hole, descent via Harthope Burn to checkpoint 2 at Langleeford (about 22 miles), and a return via Coldlaw and Snear Hill.
Navigation using a GPS device with a provided digital route is required. The entry fee includes a digital route map and waterproof map, a GPS tracker, marshals, medical cover, two stocked aid stations (noted to include real Coke), soup and sandwiches at the finish, a finisher’s medal and a certificate.
