The Enchanted Ultra 50K
The Enchanted Ultra is a 50 kilometre trail race around the Cheviot Hills with start and finish at The Cheviot Centre in Wooler, Northumberland. The route crosses remote upland terrain and includes steep climbs, varied underfoot conditions and exposure to changeable weather.
The event is self navigated. Participants must follow the route using either their own GPS watch or navigation device, or map and compass. Organisers supply a downloadable GPX file and a waterproof printed map. A GPS tracker, marshals and full safety cover are provided on the course. Two fully stocked aid stations are listed on the route and a finishers meal and medal are included.
The published route visits Humbleton Hill, St Cuthbert’s Way, Yeavering Bell, CP1 Hethpool (about 10 miles), College Valley, Mounthooley, Hen Hole, the Cheviot summit, Harthope Burn, CP2 Langleeford (about 22 miles), Coldlaw, Snear Hill, Earl and Switcherback Cottage before returning to Wooler.
Participants have an 11 hour time limit to complete the route. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fee is £55. Entries open 7 October 2026 and close 10 August 2027. Entries are limited.
