The Jersey City Spring Run
The Jersey City Spring event features three distinct asphalt running distances held within the grounds of Lincoln Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. This event is organized by Du City Tri Runs, Inc. and is the 5th annual edition of the race. The event serves as a fundraiser to support JCFamilies, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy and education for families in the local area.
Participants can choose from three USATF certified distances:
- Half Marathon: A course consisting of four loops.
- 10K: A course consisting of two loops.
- 5K: A course consisting of a single loop.
The course is designed with clear markers and includes water stations positioned at every mile. These stations provide water, Gatorade, and electrolyte gels. Participants receive a technical t-shirt and a bib with an attached timing chip. The event utilizes live timing technology, providing splits for each completed loop. Additionally, digital race tracking is available through Racemap, allowing others to follow the progress of participants remotely.
All finishers receive a die-cast medal with a full-color ribbon. The event includes individualized finisher videos and an awards ceremony for each distance. Facilities on-site include a secure baggage check-in area located at West Side Avenue and Belmont Avenue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
