The JC Spring
The JC Spring is a road race event organized by CityTri Runs on May 16, 2027 at Lincoln Park fountain in Jersey City, NJ. The event supports the nonprofit JCFamilies and is presented as the 5th annual running of these races.
Distances
- Half Marathon: four loops of 3.27 miles each.
- 10K: two loops of about 3.1 miles each.
- 5K: one loop of about 3.1 miles from start to finish.
The courses are USATF certified and run on paved, unrestricted roads, bridges, and park paths, passing the park lake and historic monuments. Intersections are marked with yellow signs and black arrows; each sign notes which distance it applies to. Each loop includes three water stations supplying water, Gatorade, and gels. Course support and clear signage are provided throughout.
Pre-race services on race day include bib pickup (race day only, 45 minutes before each start), bag check, portable toilets at the start, and pre-race announcements. Live tracking and pro chip timing deliver splits and live results. Race media include free participant photos and video posted after the race.
Post-race awards and items: finisher medal and tech shirt for every finisher, bagels and snacks, overall plaques for the top three men and women per distance, and age group medals for top three in each age group. Race rules include wearing the bib on the front torso, signing required waivers, a three-hour time limit for the half marathon, and age minimum of six years. Certain items such as bikes, dogs, baby-joggers, and inline skates are not allowed on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
