The Iron Horse Half Marathon, 12k & 5k takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026 in Midway, KY (S Brand St). The event includes in-person and virtual race options. It is presented by John's Run/Walk Shop and held in conjunction with the Midway Fall Festival. Proceeds benefit Cops for Kids, the Midway Ministerial Association, and Special Olympics Kentucky.

Practical information
The event is the 17th annual Iron Horse Half Marathon, the 10th Iron Horse 12k, and the 2nd 5k. Race amenities include a technical running shirt with custom artwork, a poster, personalized bibs, age-group awards, free unlimited photo downloads after the race, custom 13.1 and 12k stickers, and a finisher medal.
Packet pick up is available at John's Run/Walk Shop locations: Palomar on Monday 10/5 and Tuesday 10/6, and at 317 S. Ashland Ave. from Wednesday 10/7 through Saturday 10/10. There is no day-of pick up. Packet shipping is available through the event add-ons with an advance deadline.
