Innocent Half Marathon - Edinburgh (2026)
The Innocent Half takes place on Sunday 8 February 2026. The event is organised by Blast Running and is based at Queen Margaret University campus, Newcraighall (EH21 6UU). Maximum participant capacity is 400.
Course and logistics
The 2026 route starts and finishes at Queen Margaret University. It follows cycle paths and quiet roads, including the Brunstane Burn Walkway and the historic Innocent Railway, and passes beneath Arthur's Seat before returning to QMU. The course is on tarmac, will be marked and marshalled, and has about 150 m of total climb. Finishers receive a medal and a buffet at QMU.
Entry, age limits and charities
Distance: Half Marathon. Age limit: 17+. Entry fee is £25; this includes an optional £1.50 charity donation. The event donates to three Scottish children’s charities: Richmond’s Hope, Kidney Kids Scotland and Firefly International. Prizes are awarded to 1st male and 1st female in all age categories for online entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
