The Inferno Challenge Englewood
The Inferno Challenge Englewood is a race weekend held at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park in Englewood, Florida (6941 San Casa Drive, Englewood, FL 34224). The event includes multiple running distances and a separate 3-hour orienteering-style Adventure Challenge that uses park trails and surrounding trail systems.
Distances offered:
- 5K - 1 lap, registration fee $27.50
- 10K - 2 laps, registration fee $30.00
- 30K - 6 laps, registration fee $35.00
- 3 Hour Adventure Challenge - fee $35.00
The 3 Hour Adventure Challenge is an orienteering/adventure race with teams of one to four participants using pre-plotted maps to locate checkpoints. There is no marked course and no required route; teams choose which checkpoints to pursue and the order in which to visit them. Checkpoints may be located at trail intersections, pavilions, bridges, wooded areas, and open fields. Experienced adventure racers will be on-site to answer questions and help newcomers.
Registration opens February 18, 2026 and closes May 14, 2026 for the listed events. Awards are planned for top finishers in the solo and team divisions of the Adventure Challenge, and overall and age-group awards are indicated for the running events.
