The Hustle at Pinehurst
The Hustle at Pinehurst takes place at Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area in Ayr, Ontario on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The event returns the historic Run for the Toad course and runs on looped trail terrain.
The primary loop measures 12.5 km and winds through Carolinian forest, around Pinehurst Lake, and across open meadows. About 70% of the course is natural trail with roots and short climbs. Elevation is listed at 232 metres per 12.5 km loop.

Aid is provided at three stations located at two on-course sites plus the start/finish area. Stations supply water, Skratch Lemon-Lime, Coke, ginger ale, chips, candy, and cookies. The event is cup free; runners receive a collapsible cup at kit pickup.
Registration includes professional chip timing, a New Balance finisher backpack, a finisher medal, a running buff, a collapsible cup, a food truck meal voucher, downloadable race photos, and several sponsor samples. There is no bag check; on-site parking is available and weekend camping may be booked at the conservation area. A third party paramedical service will be on site and porta potties and coin operated showers are available near the start and finish.
Relay exchanges take place near the start/finish and use a transferable ankle timing chip. Course rules prohibit strollers and pets on the race course and require low volume music.
