The Hunger Run takes place on May 23, 2026, at Wolfe Park in Columbus, Ohio, with virtual participation options available through May 31, 2026. The event is the 7th annual run supporting Neighborhood Services Inc, a local food pantry and resource center that serves the University District and nearby zip codes. Events include in-person and virtual formats and two distance choices.

Neighborhood Services Inc offers a food pantry, a produce market, rent and utility assistance, and special holiday programs. NSI was established in 1965 by a group of churches and continues to provide services aimed at reducing food insecurity in central Ohio. Recent statistics highlighted by the event show that 13.5% of Franklin County residents are food insecure, nearly one in five Ohio children live in food insecure households, and Ohio ranks first in food insecurity in the Midwest. In 2025 NSI served 760,089 meals to 50,393 individuals.
Registration opens October 1, 2025, and closes January 22, 2026. Standard registration begins at $30. Pricing increases to $40 on January 23 and to $45 on May 2. A $10 discount is applied automatically for participants aged 23 and younger. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
