THE huMAN 5K : Run to Feel Human
The huMAN 5K is a community 3.1 mile event in Baltimore, MD held during Men’s Mental Health Week. The event is organized to reduce stigma around men’s mental health and to raise funds for The huMAN Project, a nonprofit that offers free men’s support groups, youth emotional literacy programming, and community healing and outreach initiatives.
The event features a timed 5K run/walk open to all fitness levels, an Opening Circle to set intention, and a community-built huMAN Wall where participants share one word they are running from and one word they are running toward. Post-race activities include music, hydration, resources, and race swag. Participants may form teams representing gyms, barbershops, families, workplaces, faith groups, and other community organizations.
Registration information is provided for the event; registration opens 2026-04-01 and closes 2026-04-30, with a listed fee of $40.00. Crisis and mental health resources are noted as available for attendees. The huMAN 5K centers community connection and fundraising rather than competition.
