The Highlands School 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Walk
The Highlands School hosts a community running and walking event on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air, MD, at 424 Williams St., Bel Air, MD 21014. The program includes a 5K race and a 1 mile fun walk held on October 11, 2026.
Registration opens July 7, 2026 and closes October 7, 2026. The listed registration fee is $40.00. Race day registration is available in person only.
The event directs 100% of net proceeds to offset tuition for families who need financial assistance, supporting small-group classrooms and individually tailored instruction that prepares students to return to mainstream school environments.
Participant benefits and race services include a long-sleeve 1/4-zip technical race shirt, chip timing and race bib for timed participants, and a custom finisher’s medal for both the 5K and the 1 mile walk. Additional same-day perks are provided at Independent Brewing Company near the finish: a beer ticket for participants age 21 and over, and a ticket for ice cream or a soft drink for participants under 21.
