Overview
The Reindeer Run 5k takes place on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Aberdeen Festival Park, 60 N. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001. It is the fourth race in a Holiday Running Series. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Reindeer Run Virtual
The course is certified and described as fast and flat. The race is professionally chip timed using the RaceResult Chip system by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the National PTSD Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity focused on first responders with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Logistics and awards
All participants receive a custom finisher’s medal and a custom t-shirt. The event includes a costume contest. Early packet pickup is scheduled at Charm City Run in Bel Air on Thursday, December 18; race day packet pickup will be handled in Festival Park under the pavilion, and mailed packets are sent about seven days before the event. Legacy and Legend medals are awarded to participants who meet multi-year completion criteria for the Holiday Running Series (three years for Legacy, five years for Legend). Age-group awards are given for male and female top 3 overall and top 3 in standard age brackets from 9 & under through 70+. The race is owned, managed, and timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.
