The Happy Camper Run 5K
The Happy Camper Run 5K takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The event is the 14th annual edition and directs all proceeds to summer camps and mentoring for Omaha-area foster kids and teens. The programs behind the event have been operating since 2004.
Race options include:

- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk
Packet pick-up is available at Fat Brain Toys (Village Pointe South) on Friday, June 19 and at Zorinsky on Saturday, June 20. New runners who register on Saturday incur a $10 late registration fee.
Registration fees change after June 7. For ages 13 and older the fee is $25 through June 7 and $30 after that date with no t-shirt. For ages 12 and under the fee is $10 through June 7 and $15 after that date with no t-shirt.
Corporate sponsorships are offered at three levels: Gold ($900) funds three camper placements, Silver ($600) funds two, and Bronze ($300) funds one. Sponsor benefits listed include logo placement on participant shirts and web promotion plus a set number of complimentary entries; the sponsorship deadline is June 1.
Groups can support additional scholarships; every group of ten runners funds one camper scholarship. Event activities include family-oriented course attractions and post-race food and games. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
